11 George Scott 05:18

A lovely late summer evening and a tail wind on the climb made this a fast and furious race tonight. There were some good family battles with old man Scott putting George firmly in his place, but Jack Lear managed to get a single second advantage over his dad Jon. Turkey drummer legs James Shaw took the spoils with a superb sub 4 minute ride. Thanks to the marshalls Pete Lloyd and Richard Harrison.

2 Julian Dessant 35:49
3 Jack Lear 36:01
4 Simon Scott 39:00
5 Kevin Goldsworthy 41:34
6 George Scott 42:59

A tail wind on the way out but headwind on the return. A good contest between the Lears with the old man just managing to stay ahead of junior. Thanks to the marshalls Gareth Rees and Matt Grein.

2nd Sept 2009

The results from tonights Milton Hill Climb are as follows:-

1 Jack Lear (Juv) 05:05

Another grim night with many regulars deciding they'd had enough of the rain over the weekend. So it was left to a field of mainly junior riders to fight it out. Jack Lear continued his good hill climb form from the open weekend to records an impressive result. Thanks to the marshalls Tim Brace, Simon Wilson and Matt Grein.

A damp and breezy night, the tail end of the hurricane having passed earlier in the day, but with so many PB's, the conditions must have been good. Luke Cornish continues to improve and is getting closer to a '22'. We welcomed a number of guest riders including Charlie Evans of Wills Wheels who did a 24.36 on a mountain bike and Will Jenkins in his first time trial who did a 26.01. I also have to mention Derek Pugh who recorded his fastest time since 2006. Thanks to the marshals Matt Grein (yet again), Albert Gay (ditto) and Matt Brown.

An overcast evening with a hint of rain in the air but a moderate westerly wind made the conditions favourable for this course. Twenty nine riders signed on and all finished in under 30 minutes, quite an achievement. There were some excellent times. Luke Cornish topped the leader board with a stunning 23.05, Paul (lawnmower) Colman continues to improve, as does Jon Phillips. There were many more PB's too. Tonight we welcomed guest riders Matthew Jones from Cwmcarn Paragon and Dave Petit from Birkenhead North End. Hope you enjoyed it guys. Thanks to the marshals Mat Grein, Albert Gay, Tanis Hand and Pete Lloyd.
